Dr. Carlos Neutzling Lehn is a physician, head and neck surgeon graduated from the University of Rio Grande Foundation, RS, Brazil in 1988. He holds a Medical Residency in General Surgery and in Head and Neck Surgery. He holds a Master’s degree and a Doctorate degree on Medicine.
He was Director of the Head and Neck Surgery Service of Hospital Heliópolis, São Paulo, Brazil between 2001 and 2009.
He is currently the Director of the Head and Neck Surgery Service of the Hospital do Servidor Público Estadual de São Paulo, IAMSPE where he also coordinates the Medical Residency in Head and Neck Surgery.
He holds the title of Specialist in Head and Neck Surgery of the Brazilian Society of Head and Neck Surgery, obtained in 1993 and the recognition as notorious knowledge in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring and in Head and Neck Ultrasonography.
He is the author of more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 12 book chapters and has edited one book in the area of Head and Neck Surgery. He supervised 23 Master’s theses.
His areas of interest are prognostic factors in head and neck cancer, new technologies in the treatment of thyroid diseases, especially the thermal ablation of thyroid nodules with radiofrequency and microwave that he has practiced since 2019 with dozens of cases performed.
He also works in private practice with a special interest in the treatment of thyroid diseases.
