Professor Fouad Rkiouak, is head of the Rabat Thyroid Center – Morocco, and president of the Moroccan Group for the Study of the Thyroid. Pr F.Rkiouak is a tenured university lecturer in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Rabat – Morocco.

Pr F.Rkiouak is an active member and past President of the Moroccan Society of Endocrinology Diabetology Nutrition (SMEDIAN). His clinical practice is mainly dedicated to benign and malignant endocrine pathologies, and is particularly versed in minimally invasive Interventional Endocrinology of the thyroid and parathyroids.

Pr F.Rkiouak is one of the pioneers of minimally invasive percutaneous treatments of the thyroid and parathyroids in Morocco. He was trained and graduated at Asan Medical Center in South Korea by Professor JH Baeck in 2017. But also supervised by Professor C.Bulent (Antalya – Turkeiye) and Dr L.Casbas (Toulouse – France) in the first thermoablation procedures in Morocco.

The first work of Pr F. Rkiouak on thermal ablation by Radiofrequency and Microwaves was presented at the 45th Moroccan National Congress of Endocrinology in 2022 and at the Endocrinology Days of the C H U Hassan 2 Fes-Morocco in 2023. He is currently invited as a KOL in numerous congresses and scientific events.

Pr F.Rkiouak is the course director at the CCMA Morocco Training Center, officially Accredited in training in Microwave Thermoablation of Thyroid Nodules and Parathyroid Adenomas.
